Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar’s reaction to ‘Utt Goenkara Utt…’, that justifiably demanded scraping of the government’s proposal to constitute a censor board for tiatrs and other stage productions is unconstitutional by itself, apart from being ridiculous and disgraceful. His statement calling the writer an “outsider” is unholy.
He should have looked around and answered why does he love casinos, mining, builders, Russians; are they all Goans or is it Goan culture?
Tiatr is an exemplary platform which goes with the concept of education-based entertainment that has creativity in all its forms – writing, directing, acting, music etc and has a base of Goan art and culture.
The CM has insulted the knowledge and expertise of class journalism and should apologize with grace.
