The villagers of Chandor, Cavorim and Guridolim villages were happy to hear that the Chief Minister had come to listen to the voice of people and to announce that the railway under bridge work will start soon and will complete within two months of time.
But after laying the foundation stone, the work was stopped in between with the concerned authority giving the excuse saying that due to COVID-19 lockdown theycannot complete the work. But the Railway authority had completed most of the rail double tracking projects’ job in the State of Goa in the lockdown period even when the virus was spreading throughout the world.
Again a revised date was given that the work of railway under bridge would be completed by mid May 2021 but the same still awaits completion.
The road passing through the under bridge has also not completed and the work remain pending wherein the public will have to suffer in the rainy season again by putting their lives at risk near the Chandor Railway Crossing Gate No 18 because of muddy slippery road. Request the Government of Goa and Railway authority to complete the work of railway under bridge as soon as possible.
