There are two pending works that remain to be completed for the Siolkars, who have been suffering due to poor work execution by the PWD. The Mapusa Ganeshpuri-Marna Siolim is known to be an accident prone road and called the killer road for claiming many lives because of the road’s engineering design.
With the laying of the high tension power cable, this road can be widened at the accident prone blind spots but the PWD engineers think of doing lip service work. The Gaunsavaddo-Marna link road remains to be completed, and looks like the work will not finish till the end of this year.
The hardship and traffic jams will continue at the St Anthony’s Church junction with the tourists flocking in large numbers to the coastal beaches of the north. We hope our MLA will be able to address the issue on a war-footing.
