The article regarding a concrete slab lying along the pavement opposite Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus-stand at Ponda was published in the ‘Citizen Herald’ column on August 31.
The said slab served to be a hindrance for free movement of the pedestrians proceeding along this busy route. Senior citizens faced great obstacle in the process, more so, during late evening and night. Taking a note of the published article, the Ponda Municipal Council removed the said concrete slab that was almost unwanted and lying idle at the spot for quite long.
