The issue regarding a concrete slab existing over the drain adjacent to the compound wall of Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus stand in Ponda was published in the Citizen Herald column on November 16. Taking a note of this published letter, the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) removed the said unwanted slab to its stores.
The same can be utilised at any of the drains as and when needed. I am thankful for the authorities for initiating quick favourable action in this regard. I am equally thankful to the ‘Herald Team’ for highlighting the issue.
