Firstly, the government has no justification for the hike in power tariff since things are getting worse with every passing day. Secondly, it seems quite obvious that the power minister could be making a hefty amount in the guise of maintenance for which power was shut down for a full day, area wise, thus inconveniencing the people. After all this , one begins to wonder if there was any maintenance done at all, since power has shut down in the Gogol area on more than 30 – 40 occasions and I was recently without power for the past half an hour , at the onset of sudden showers on a Friday evening. May I ask the power minister if maintenance was done to ensure trouble free power supply or to ensure power break downs even more frequently than before.
