Contribute towards cleaning forest with lots of fun

On Saturday, July 23, 2016, 23 of us had gone to Tambdi-Surla waterfalls, carrying all essential things required for trekking. The thing we carried extra were poly-bags of 10 kg capacity for each person, the idea was to collect all the garbage at fall site as well as nearby the track while returning from the fall.
I am happy that our team did a great job and we collected around 200 kgs of garbage including plastic bottles, plastic wrappers, beer cans (some of them were found intact), glass, whiskey and beer bottles, shoes, sandals, plastic dishes and glasses etc., which we dumped later in the garbage dumping cage.
The fellow trekkers too appreciated our initiative which was just adding to our fun. Our team wants to pass on the message to other trekkers and readers that, it is not very difficult to keep our environment clean. We neither need to do any extra effort nor any hard work; all we require is just the right the approach.
We have not sacrificed anything from the fun part, we danced, we sang songs, played a lot in water, had hot chai in rains, clicked lots of photos and much more. But doing a social activity has added to our fun and we all will certainly remember the trip for lifetime. This also makes us feel proud of ourselves.
