Covert mushrooming of high rise buildings

The mushrooming of many high rise buildings in Panaji, St Inez, Caranzalem and Taleigao areas which includes Dona Paula area are prominent. During my rounds in the city limits of Panjim I saw corrugated sheets as well as green colour cloth sheets all over Panjim covered their ongoing constructions.

The areas are such as near old PWD building near Ponte de Linhares, in Patto is near Sesa Ghor, and in front of RTO, then at St Monica jetty near the Mandovi Bridge,  Panjim jetty is near Captain of  Ports,  Dayanand Bandodkar Football grounds and Campal Stadium both opposite each other and at  Miramar circle is near the temple and further on in Dona Paula plateau etc.

Panaji and its surroundings have very narrow roads and high rise buildings are not provided space for road widening which will also lead to increase in the urban population which has already reached saturation point, but will also lead to congestion of the city which nowadays I see being heavily dug up for laying of the sewage pipelines. I have noticed most of these constructions have rarely no display board fixed at prominent place. Suppose to have valid approvals from competent authorities, such as from Health, Goa State Pollution Control board, Fire Services, PDA’s, CCP or Panchayat wherever is applicable, with Chalta land PT sheet and survey numbers of Sub Division which gives the element of illegality that is being kept away from the public eye.
