PONDA: The public visiting the Ponda RTO office often wonder whether the office serves humans and cows as well. If not, then how does one find heaps of cow dung at entrance of the office of Ponda Assistant Director of Transport?
The area has been a shelter for stray cattle, who rest here and leave the place only after dumping piles of cow dung. The public have to hop, skip and jump to avoid stepping on the cow dung cakes on the slippery floor as they enter the RTO office.
Social worker Viraj Sapre expressed resentment over the situation. He said, “Stray cattle take rest and make a mess at the entrance to this office making it difficult for people to enter here.”
“Visitors often slip and fall injuring themselves in the bargain,” he added.
He urged the authorities to maintenance their premises and also keep the stray cattle at bay.
