I would like to highlight the garbage menace that has gripped our village lately. There is a beautiful stretch of road when travelling from the Varca main village to Fatrade (also part of Varca).
Lately, it’s been strewn by garbage every morning, which is an eyesore and can also lead to a health hazard for people taking that route. This is also just next to the paddy fields in which our villagers grow their paddy.
The people working in the fields can get injured as the garbage may contain broken glass bottles etc.
I request the authorities to find the culprits at the earliest and penalise them heavily. Also request the Village Panchayat to take necessary measures like installing a No Garbage Zone signboard and CCTV to curb this menace.
