Citizen Herald dated May 7, highlighted the issue I raised of damaged pipeline through my letter titled ‘Who is to be blamed for water shortage and negligence?’
Thankfully, the PWD officials have attended to the pipeline, which was damaged due to the ongoing work on May 5. Their quick action saved thousands of litres of water but had they promptly done their work, lakhs of litres of water would have been saved.
But due to their lethargic ways of functioning and ‘whose father’s what goes’ attitude by government officials we need press to like Herald to highlight the wastages.
Now I am awaiting action by officials to book the officials for negligence and why it took so many days to plug and repair the damage pipeline.
