South Goa has its very own version of the Panjim Smart City fiasco in the form of the Western Bypass and Calvaddo bypass junction.
Day in and day out, freshly laid roads are dug for laying some service/utility lines or the other.
Further, deep pits are being dug in the road without any form of hazard warning lights or reflective tape in place to warn vehicles. Accidents regularly take place in this area, luckily no one has lost his/her life yet but it can’t be ruled out in the future.
Would the construction agency/government authorities at least take some basic precautions to eliminate mishaps?
