The road adjacent to the newly built flyover in the vicinity of Shree Saraswati temple at Daag in Ponda tends to be a dangerous spot for public at large. Vehicles, especially two-wheelers, have been proceeding in wrong directions and hence there is every possibility of mishaps taking place sooner or later.
With non-functional streetlight fixtures at this particular area, the situation turns worse during night.
There is no authority to exercise control over the proceeding vehicular traffic and hence vehicle riders act as per their whims and fancies thereby endangering the lives of fellow travellers and pedestrians as well.
It is absolutely necessary that discipline is imbibed at this strategic location. Hence deputing traffic cops near this flyover gains great significance.
The higher officials at the traffic cell in Ponda should take a note of this important matter and initiate prompt favourable action to bring the existing degrading condition under firm control. Deputing traffic cops on a permanent basis would indeed help in assuring safety to one and all.
