While our political leaders are tom-tomming about India well on its way to becoming a developed nation, many civic amenities are in an utter state of disrepair. This bus shelter on the Margao- Nuvem road seems like an abandoned relic from the past; no seating to speak of, a rusted backwall, vegetation growing on the structure and what have you.
If we can’t get even such rudimentary urban transport infrastructure right then we have no right to count ourselves as an advancing nation. It’s a shame, better to demolish such eyesores in toto and replace them with new structures than let them grace Goa’s main arterial highway NH66.
