Displaced drain covers pose risk to pedestrians in Vasco

It is observed that at several places across the port town of Vasco the RCC covers over the drains are either broken, displaced or altogether missing. This poses a great risk to pedestrians especially the elderly persons, children and those who are physically challenged. They can fall into the drain through these openings. The risk of such an incident increases during the night, especially in the rainy season. The authorities concerned need to carry out a survey of all the drains and replace the covers which need to be replaced. This has to be done on a war footing before any untoward incident takes place.
