There are no proper plans or any co-ordination with the Traffic Police. Nobody knows what kind of modification or development is going on. This circle is dug up in all fronts and people are fed up of this mess as there is lot of dust all over the Dona Paula area.

Tourists are also dumping garbage, urination, defecation and messing up the place. Residents of Dona Paula are disgusted of all what is going on here. By putting heavy concrete on the road around the circle after excavation was not required and it is not known what the government is going to achieve.

It is just to give business to these contractors? Lots of money is being siphoned in the name of modification. Dr Jack Sequeira, leader of the Opposition’s statue touched the border of this circle which was existing in the centre.

The National Institute of Oceanography’s front view is blocked and many 11 KV line electrical boxes and sewage lines have come up just near NIO compound wall thus spoiling the beauty of the National Institute. Number of tourist buses and other vehicles park on the roadside that too in front and near the police station.

Swatch Bharat is completing two years on October 2 this year and nothing good has been achieved and sadly Goa Governor Mridula’s dreams are not fulfilled and her entourage vehicles cannot pass easily through this circle.

Development must be there but proper planning is also required.
