The issue regarding a dry tree existing along the road, opposite Shree Maruti Temple, at Varkhandem, Ponda was published on Citizen Herald dated April 27, 2020.
Such an undesirable situation proved dangerous for the lives of innocent travellers and pedestrians proceeding along the route. Had the said tree collapsed to the road at any instance, it would have definitely resulted in adverse consequences for public at large.
It is often said ‘Better Late Than Never’. On July 20, 2020, the tree was chopped by the concerned authorities thereby assuring a permanent relief to all. Travellers and pedestrians have now secured the much needed safety along this busy route.
I am thankful to the authorities for their favourable action in public interest. Also special thanks to the ‘Citizen Herald team’ for highlighting this serious post.
