It is a general practice for the electricity department to see wooden ladders in its vehicles whenever they are deputed for maintenance work at different locations.
However, these ladders being lengthy remain dangerously outside the body of the concerned vehicles.
Such a tendency is likely to cause disturbance to vehicular traffic proceeding from behind.
At times it may even lead to mishaps in case traveller happens to hit the ladder from the back. Such an incident is bound to cause injuries to human lives and also loss to property. In order to assure safety to travellers and pedestrians as well, it would be appropriate for the higher officials at this important department to arrange provision of adjustable aluminium ladders which could be easily accommodated inside the body of the vehicles.
Indeed, public at large would be prevented from coming in close contact with the same. I hope the concerned officials at the electricity department would consider this aspect quite seriously and initiate prompt favourable action in order to make this valuable suggestion a reality.
No doubt, such a timely step would go a long way in assuring safety to one and all.
