This has reference to the letter ‘Repair damaged electric pole at Fatorda’ (Citizen Herald, September 3, 2018). In this context, on gathering the report from field officers, it is revealed that the department has taken immediate note of the same and the broken structure of the pole has been concretised. Further, it is to inform that already the work order for conversion of overhead to U/G system in the surrounding area has been placed and the work is in progress and no sooner the work is completed, the existing overhead system will be removed.
