The roads at different locations in the State have been in a negligent condition. The potholes have been noticed at different spots thereby endangering the lives of innocent travellers and pedestrians alike. In Ponda too, the situation has deteriorated to a great extent and public at large have remained to be the ultimate sufferers in the process.
Accidents are bound to occur thereby leading to adverse consequences for the concerned victims. With the lessened rains and dry spell that was noticed some days back, the work of filling potholes would have been an easy task. However, the concerned authorities failed to assure the necessary repair work. Even now a little bit of repair work in this direction can make a lot of difference in assuring safety to innocent travellers.
Seen in the picture is a pothole noticed adjacent to Dhekne Cloth Stores situated along the road leading towards Upper Bazaar. We cannot take precious human lives for granted at any instance. It is time for the concerned authorities to expedite repair work of road at different locations in the State so that inconvenience and trouble caused to public at large ends once and for all.
The travellers and pedestrians must be assured safety on a permanent basis.
