The matter regarding a transformer existing in an exposed condition along Tisk-Dhavali route (in the vicinity of Sambari Residency) in Ponda was published in this column on August 3, 2020. The situation proved dangerous for the lives of innocent pedestrians proceeding along this busy location.
Taking cognizance of the published matter the Electricity Department in Ponda fixed a cover to the exposed transformer. Such a favourable step has gone a long way in assuring safety to the pedestrians and stray cattle alike.
I feel thankful to the Electricity Department for its positive action in providing necessary relief to public at large proceeding along the strategic location on regular basis. Also, special thanks to the ‘Herald team’ for highlighting this serious post.
