The last stretch of the road leading to Dabolim Airport from Chicalim circle is full of filth on either side of the road. The overgrown grass and vegetation is still not cleared and everything looks so shabby. Rubbish of every sort is scattered around. Even the roundabout at Chicalim is in a very bad shape and needs to be beautified.
Anywhere in the world Airports and its surroundings are kept shipshape and aesthetic, and the passengers commuting have a pleasant experience which carries a good impression of the host city.
Don’t our panchayats and elected representatives care at all to maintain basic cleanliness in one of the most important areas that matter? The tourism season is in full swing and it is earnestly requested of the authorities to put their act together and give a thorough clean-up to this stretch.
