Shown in photo is fresh flowers wrapped in plastic sheet. One offers God flowers and also to humans on their birthday, wedding anniversary, and on different occasions.
We also take flowers for funerals as a mark of respect for the departed souls. One thing I can’t understand is why are fresh flowers wrapped in plastic sheet?
We cry everyday because of plastic garbage, we know the ill effects of burning plastic garbage, yet we Goans, who are considered as one of the top literate people in the states of India, do nothing to minimise plastic garbage.
I sincerely request authorities to direct florists entrepreneurs to ban fresh flowers to be wrapped in plastic and to ban manufacturing of plastic sheet and they are of no use other than to wrap fresh flowers.
At least God will be happy to see that Earth, which God created for human and animals use, is not destroyed with plastic waste.
