I would like to bring to the notice of the concerned authorities regarding the frequent power cuts in Parra. I realise now how frequent the power cuts are since I’m working from home now. In a day there is no power for at least 3 times.
This makes working and living very different especially these days due to the heat wave. Every time I call the helpline number (1912) I’m given the same, nonsensical excuse of either the transformer has tripped or there is load shedding going on.
Firstly, how is it that the transformer trips so often? It seems to me that either I’m being fed with a bunch of lies by either the helpline executives or by the people manning the station. Or the repair work that is being done is half-hearted. Secondly, why is “load shedding” only done in this area and so often? And also this “load shedding” is being done without any prior public notice to the residents here.
Also, the maintenance work that is done for the monsoon season by the Electricity Department is pretty useless as the power is shut even during the monsoons due to “maintenance work”.
