Do we really have the mindset to practically put in action what we often read and hear about ‘Clean and Green Goa’?
Sure, few will be annoyed but many will agree to the question above. Quite often there is a garbage truck that comes to the location with couple of labourers and cleans up the place lifting the carelessly thrown around garbage. Personally, I have no idea who does the clean-up but definitely whoever does it, should be appreciated. The picture itself is self-explanatory and needs no much writing.
To my understanding, whoever throws this garbage is habituated. Perhaps it gives him or her heart and mind, that inner satisfaction for being part of polluting the environment and at the same time pleasure to give trouble to those poor labourers who have a hard time to pick up all dirty stuff like sanitary pads, wet waste etc.
Humble request, to whoever is doing this, PLEASE have your garbage properly packed and dispossessed at designated locations identified by your respective panchayats. We all as responsible citizens should think good and do good to keep our beautiful Goa, ‘Clean and Green’.
Something we can do on our own instead of pointing fingers at the government and waiting for them to take action.
