This is to bring to your notice the news published in Herald dated April 30, 2019, on garbage management system in Navelim panchayat house. My request is to have it reviewed and surveyed again, before coming to the major decision to start the garbage management system in place with the Navelim panchayat backyard. My villa and a few rows of villas are just 4 metres alongside the Navelim panchayat house.
My whole surrounding is stinking of wet garbage and is worse day by day, the smell is constant and unbearable. I cannot keep my doors and windows open. I request the concerned authorities to inspect thoroughly, the surrounding residential area.
The segregation of garbage is handled haphazardly and wet garbage is brought and exposed for days in open air, the birds are scattering everywhere.
I am a law abiding citizen and would like to have the garbage system in place but not in such an irresponsible way. So far there are no signs of epidemic but it can occur in the near future, if not handled professionally.
