For quite a long time, in and around Vasco we are noticing plastics flying in the air or garbage fallen in the middle of the road.
No doubt the Mormugao Municipal Council is doing a wonderful job in reducing the use of plastics and disposing the garbage properly. The garbage is collected with the help of garbage trucks and transported to the required area either for treatment or disposal. But the trucks’ rear door needs attention. The door is sometimes absent or left open during the process of collection of the garbage from different areas. Due to the absence or not being non-closed the garbage on the truck falls off on the road when the truck comes across a speed breaker. The garbage trucks need to be given special attention or else instead of cleaning the area we will double the rate of soiling the city.
