There are altogether three pharmacies at the OPD case paper registration section at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim. However, lots of inconvenience is causing to the patients of the Medicine Block of new building of GMC, owing to the lack of a nearby pharmacy.
The relatives of the patients have to walk nearly half a kilometer to get required medicines from Wards like 147 and 145 which are on the fourth floor of the Medicine Block of new building existing at the western side of the hospital.
There are three to four canteens at distinct places in the premises of GMC which are comfortable to the people and the patients to meet their eating needs. This facility is commendable by the management.
Likewise, one pharmacy is expected at the entrance of new building of GMC which is Medicine Block. There is lot of place near Medical Superintendent’s Office to operate medical store.
The GMC authority must take note of this pharmacy lacking area and should make a provision of a pharmacy in Medicine Block either by shifting one pharmacy or by commissioning new pharmacy.
