Govt must develop Chicalim junction area into food-court

It is observed that there are several kiosks at the Chicalim junction, Vasco. These kiosks serve anything from tea, coffee and snacks to Chinese food and fast food. Almost all these food stalls are managed by the Goans. Many locals, including tourists patronise these stalls.

However, the hygiene in the surrounding areas leaves a lot to be desired. The pavers on the footpath are in a broken condition. This area could be developed into a food-court by the government by providing standard kiosks to all those who are doing business here. The area also needs to be spruced up in order to make it a place to have street food for the tourists, who visit the port town and locals.
