I had applied for the Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS) at the Directorate of Social Welfare office at Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao, in December 2020.
Since then, not a single month’s benefit has been paid to me. So I went to enquire at the office and I was told that I will receive in future to which I asked whether I will receive arrears for 14 months but the answer was clear “no”.
I hope that the department takes necessary action to resolve the matter at the earliest.
