A couple of months back, the main road in the port town of Vasco along the Swatantra Path was hot-mixed. This road has been hot-mixed many times in the past.
As a result, the height of the road is several inches above the level of the pavement. It is pertinent to note that half the pavement along this road is earmarked for parking.
However the height of the road causes great inconvenience to vehicular drivers to park and remove their vehicle from the parking lot, especially two-wheeler riders who can lose balance and fall. Obviously, when the road is hot-mixed again in future, the height of the road will increase even more. There needs to be a system in place to remove the previous layer of tar before hot-mixing the road.
