With much funfare and politicians taking pride, the long awaited Tar Bridge at Mapusa was opened to vehicular traffic after its inauguration. The old bridge was very narrow and causing traffic jam inconveniencing easy flow of vehicular movement.
Now, the bridge is given a phase lift with two ways double lanes and much appreciated by all. But the concerned authorities should have kept their attention on the approach roads joining the market from either sides of the church.
These roads are very humpy bumpy causing danger to the life, of particularly two-wheeler users. They should have been done long back but just a haphazard patch working was provided before the monsoon season every year. The vehicle users anticipate these roads will be hot-mixed bringing joy to everyone coming to Mapusa for marketing. Let the good works of our government speak the joy of living and appreciation of serving the citizens.
