Sometime back traffic signboards existing in a dilapidated condition on either side of a sharp turn adjacent to Sneha Mandir at Bandora, Ponda were dismantled from the place.
However, the same have not been replaced with alternate ones as yet. The location is most critical and the vehicles are accustomed of proceeding at a faster pace thereby raising the possibility of a serious mishap sooner or later.
Precious human lives are confronted with great risk and danger. In case any accident occurs, it would certainly result in adverse consequences.
Hence assuring safety for travellers gains great significance. Pedestrians too remain at a great disadvantage due to over-speeding vehicles proceeding along this route on regular basis.
In public interest it is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to install new signboards here on priority basis so that normalcy is achieved on a permanent basis. Prompt positive steps in this sensitive matter would certainly be appreciated by all.
