The sharp turn at ‘Dessai-Bhat’ area at Adpai in Ponda happens to be a most critical location. First of all, road here is too narrow. The vehicles from either side of this turn proceed at a fast speed thereby raising the possibility of a mishap sooner or later.
There are neither any traffic signboards nor speed breakers in order to exercise control over the over-speeding vehicles. Neither, the Village Panchayat of Adpai-Durbhat nor Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar has initiated any favourable action in the interest of innocent travellers and pedestrians.

Travellers have been confronted with risk and danger. Adverse consequences are bound to follow in case any mishap occurs sooner or later. Of course, precious human lives must be assured safety on a permanent basis. Hence, it is required that necessary precautionary measures are initiated at this sharp turn at the earliest. I sincerely request the local MLA not to overlook this serious matter anymore and introduce necessary precautionary measures at above dangerous turn in consultation with the concerned competent authorities.
Along with installation of traffic signboards, speed breakers should be built on either side of the road on immediate basis. Let us hope that the needful positive steps would be initiated at the earliest so that safety is assured for public at large.
