The Goa Bench of High Court has issued notice to repair the potholes on the Goan roads by May 15. So far, the potholes were temporary repaired before the Assembly elections and was carried out in the month of November-December 2021.
The same was done to pacify the voters for the elections, which was held on February 14. It is surprising to note that the PWD and contractors had to wait for the High Court’s order to do their task. If the High Court intervenes in every department then Goa will be a beautiful State one day in terms of overall development.
Kind attention is required at the bus stand of city and various towns especially Vasco.
At Vasco bus stand soil testing was done and was revamped over seven years back, but now has ended up in worst condition and muddy state. The same was repaired with filling of patch work before the Assembly elections and after the results the condition is back to square one. One should visit the Vasco bus stand and see the state, which is worst then the village bus stand. The KTC has shown no interest in reconditioning and giving it a better look. If the same is not repaired the entire bus stand will be muddy in June when the monsoon starts. Presently, one can see the mud in the bus stand and not tar road.
The High Court should intervene in this matter too and see that all bus stands are cleaned and upgraded with best roads so that the passengers can board the buses without any problem.
We the citizens humbly request the KTC to take up the issue or wait for the High Court order to repair the Vasco bus stand before monsoon.
