This is with reference to the matter titled ‘Remove creepers over electricity poles’ that appeared in ‘Citizen Herald’ on January 7, 2019. The Electricity Department removed creepers that were covering the LED fixture over an electricity pole in the vicinity of Sanjeevan Society at Bandora in Ponda. Due to such a timely action, motorists and pedestrians would now receive illumination over the road while proceeding along this strategic location during the night. The pole has also received a better image. Let us hope that the maintenance staff of this important department would be alert in rectifying such errors and initiate prompt favourable action without any delay. I am thankful to the electricity department for their positive action in this important matter.
