In the initial stages, the Ponda Post Office had installed a letter box over the boundary wall at the premises of Primary Health Centre situated at Tisk, in Ponda.
However, the same has been presently found missing from the spot for quite a long time. As a result, customers wishing to drop their important letters here have no other alternative but to visit the main Post Office in the vicinity of old bus stand. Much of one’s precious time is being wasted in the process.
Senior citizens tend to be the ultimate sufferers in the process due to their inability to walk at a greater distance.
Taking into consideration, the interest of innocent customers it would be appropriate for the senior officials at the main Post Office in Ponda to arrange re-installation of the missing letter box on priority basis so that public at large are assured a permanent relief in this regard.
Of course, removing the dropped letters at the appropriate clearance timing gains equal significance. Let us hope that the authorities would do the needful without any further delay.
