It has been almost five months since Transport Minister and Panchayat Raj Minister Mauvin Godinho along with his team had planned to make the junction opposite the Chicalim Panchayat (road going to Vishal Mega Mart) safe for the motorists and pedestrians but is still not been done.
I have already lost my 19-year-old daughter on October 30 at the same spot in the bargain. Is Mauvin Godinho waiting for more deaths to happen? Or is he wake up and do something and stop giving false promises to the people who have voted for him. After my daughter’s death, I had met Sarpanch to do something, such as installing road dividers, so that vehicles don’t go on the wrong side to take the Vishal Mega Mart Road but as per him he does not have powers to do so.
So whoever has the powers, please do something about this, because only a parents can understand the shocking loss of their loved ones. Ministers using the roads and highways should understand that every life counts since they have the powers to get it done.
