The high mast installed near the Mapusa Municipal Council a few years ago has not been inaugurated for the reasons best known to the authorities, who spent the government money to do so.
The high mast was fitted with the lamps but now those lamps have been missing or robbed. Why are the city fathers turning a blind eye to this high mast, can’t they find a birthday date to commission the high mast? Just to remind them many Diwalis have gone by, let’s hope the high mast will be inaugurated with lights on soon.
Unless some Mapsekar NGOs or Opposition political parties come up with some interesting innovative idea to fix the Diwali Akash Divya instead of the lamps and get the area happily lighted.
