Passing the buck is the latest strategy of the politicians in power today to disown responsibility of their duty. Then, who will do the work, many question? Rightly so, the roads everywhere in Mapusa are in very precarious conditions endangering life of the motorists. If they are done, the quality of work is poor, common sense is lacking and maintenance of the roads is not adhered to. People visit the town, particularly, on Friday for the weekly bazaar creating a problem of overcrowding everywhere. In the midst of zig zag criss-crossing, these roads become a problem, particularly for those travelling to office.
One office-goer said, “If the Mapusa Municipal Council is dozing, the MLA is slumbering only to wake up for inspection to glare the media highlight for publicity, we voters are at the receiving end. Very right! The Electorate, matters only once in five years for the vote. Wake up Mapsekars.”
