Welcome to Goa and moreover welcome to Mapusa town to visit the famous Friday Market. But wait for a second, to go to the town one has to move out of the house and travel (obviously by road).
Being a regular commuter travelling to Mapusa, I wonder if the concerned authority is waiting for a tragedy to take place on these roads to do the needful or is it that the so-called higher authority has not sanctioned enough amounts to do up the roads? If you travel from Bastora to Mapusa via the Mapusa church road, you will find the pathetic state of the road. The number of potholes and the depth of the potholes. I think it’s high time that the concerned authority at least provide basic facilities to its citizens like proper roads to commute on.
