Mapusa roads in a deplorable state

It is sad to visit the once well kept hygienically clean Mapusa municipal market now congested and the deplorable  roads leading to it from the recently reconstructed Tar bridge. The roads from either sides of the Church demand the attention of the authorities in power.

A few patching here and there of pot holes have been done but that hasn’t solved the problem, particularly of the two-wheeler riders who have to jerk through the humps and bumps risking their precious lives. The Goa government has enough money to waste on unwanted celebrations but no money to maintain our roads to safeguard the safety of our lives.

The annual Milagr Saibinniche fest (feast of Our Lady of Miracles) is fast approaching and these roads will be heavily used by vehicular users. Will the Mapusa MLA wake up from his slumber and act with responsibility to have these roads hotmixed on priority interest for the safety of the general public.

It’s not that you cannot do anything while in power, neither the Municipality. The humanity in you must wake up to the reality of life.
