This is to draw to the attention of the Assistant Director of Transport, Mapusa that on Mapusa-Salvador do Mundo via Pomburpa route, the last bus which is scheduled to leave from the KTC bus stand is at 7.30 pm sharp. The schedule is not adhered by the operators on this route but as to their whims and fancies.
On several occasions it is noticed that the bus leaves at 7 pm putting the commuters of Bastora, Ucassaim, Nachinola (Borvon), Aldona (Gavar), Olaulim, Pomburpa (Golna), (Ekoshi), (Velotim), (Bhatan) and Salvador-do-Mundo in great hardships as there is only one bus. The stranded commuters have to arrange private transport to leave to their destination. Moreover, there are irregular buses plying on this route during normal hours, it mostly effects the working class and livelihood earners.
As the Director of Transport Office located at the KTC bus stand, it is the duty bound to keep check on this route schedule and make the last schedule permanent so that after dusk all the commuters reach safely to their destination. The Aldona MLA should please look into the matter.
