The pristine Benaulim beach has become a crowded mess now with the watersports operators using every inch of the sand for parking their boats, scooters, parachutes and other miscellaneous stuff; the shack operators encroach upon the sand by laying out tables and private gazebos, whatever’s left is for the fishermen to utilise for their vessels and nets. Add to that feral dogs, general squalor and haphazardly placed dustbins and the beach starts to resemble a dump yard. Would the panchayat authorities look into the matter to straighten things out?
