A s most Goans go abroad in search for better opportunities it leads to increase in the migrants in Goa, especially from neighbouring states and from some parts of our country.
The number of migrants is on rise and day by day they are fill our cities in search of daily jobs, as one can see near Margao MMC, Mapusa etc.
They come and put their tents anywhere they want and make their home on city foot path, road side, parking lot etc and defecate anywhere they want.
They are destroying our image of Goa, which is famous throughout the world as many tourist visit from different parts of the world. It is very surprising that many migrants came in search of daily jobs and stay here with their families for many years with all the benefits from our State government.
Of course vote bank politics is also one cause. When a Goan builds a small room or boundary wall in his own property, the Municipal Council and village panchayat office people come running to stop them. But ironically, when migrants comes in our State and build rooms and small homes in someone else’s land and anywhere they like then nobody seems to stop them or put them in their place.
We request our government, MLAs, police department to look into this matter and also municipal council in cities, village panchayat office in their areas to take necessary action against these migrants.
