Sanquelim needs a spacious bus stand

The space at the bus-stand in Sanquelim is quite small in comparison to the number of buses that enter and exit from this bus-stand on regular basis. Congestion has been noticed on most occasions, especially during peak hours.
Buses, particularly larger buses of Kadamba Transport Corporation find it difficult to turn due to unavailability of necessary space at these premises.
Commuters waiting for buses face great risk and danger in the process. There is no bus-shelter either and public at large seek shelter adjacent to the parked buses.
On many occasions movement of commuters gets restricted to a great extent. Most of the buses proceed to this bus-stand via police outpost situated nearby. However, the road here is too narrow and pedestrians hardly get any space to proceed to this bus-stand.
Under such circumstances they are most likely to come under the wheels of proceeding vehicles. What is worse still is that some buses are regularly parked along the narrow road adjacent to this police outpost.
With a view to assure better conditions for commuters, it would be appropriate for the concerned authorities to expedite construction of a spacious bus-stand at Sanquelim, so that hardships faced by bus operators, commuters and pedestrians are put to a permanent end.
Let us hope that prompt action would be initiated in this direction in public interest.
