The article regarding a concrete slab missing at the parking area adjacent to the North Kanara G S B Co-Operative Bank Ltd at Kaziwada, Ponda was published in the Citizen Herald column on September 7, 2020. The existing undesirable situation proved dangerous for two-wheeler riders wishing to park their vehicles at this location.
In the absence of the said concrete slab, a pothole had developed, with the vehicle riders likely to lose balance and fall to the ground thereby leading to adverse consequences.
Taking a note of this published article, the Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) replaced the missing slab with an alternate one thereby assuring safety to the vehicle riders visiting this area for parking purpose. I take this opportunity to thank the higher officials at the PMC for initiating prompt favourable action in the interest and safety of public at large. I am equally thankful to the ‘Herald Team’ for highlighting this most sensitive post.
