At Pello Vaddo, Ucassaim, the stretch is a narrow road with a sharp turn, on one side there is a protection of houses wall compound, and by road edge a nullah. On the other side, a down slope with bamboos makeshift as the protection.
Such protection safety was used during gone by era for the movements of bullock carts, cycles, animals and for people who journey their destination during the then dark nights.
In today’s era of advance technology, sophisticated light, heavy vehicles are motoring on this road day and night.
As it is a narrow road with sharp turn – no retaining concrete wall for safety is build and no signboards installed on either side of the road for the motorist to take precautionary measures. If the oncoming and ongoing motorist come driving recklessly in full speed, what will be the result one day?
As “Prevention is better than cure”, I request the Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo and the sarpanch of Village Panchayat of Ucassaim-Punola to take up the safety matter on priority basis to save the precious lives of the motorists.
