The pedestrian and motorists crossings on the bypass at Nuvem Rumder, have become perilous due to the lack of traffic signals.
The vehicles arriving from either side of the six-lane highway drive at peak speed to dodge the jolt at the rumblers. The crossing has lately been marked with a zebra crossing, but it serves little purpose because the motorists prefer to ignore it, and it is also in between the barriers.
As a result, anyone using the zebra crossing must go through the additional torture of climbing the concrete divider to get to the other side. If not traffic signals, at least a Traffic Police officer stationed at the above location could alleviate the problems of pedestrians and motorists crossing the Rumder, Nuvem bypass from east to west and vice versa.
