Open garbage trucks pose nuisance

Everyday several truck-loads of garbage are lifted from garbage collection centres in various cities and towns. It is observed that many a times the garbage is loaded onto open trucks.

As a result these trucks emit foul smell as they pass along the roads. The garbage also gets blown by the wind onto the roads when the truck is on the move. Ideally, a garbage truck has to have a dome shaped structure covering the back so that the garbage from it does not get blown.

If the civic bodies do not possess such closed trucks it needs to be seen that the garbage in the trucks is covered by a tarpaulin sheet.
